Mutual aid networks
A phone tree in each town for the small things that make a big difference — a lift to hospital, a shop-run for someone stuck at home, an evening meal when it has been that kind of day. Requests come in through the local coordinator; volunteers pick up what they can.
Where: every town group. How to ask: message the local coordinator or email us.
Community meetups
Regular in-person meetups in each town — usually monthly, usually somewhere with tea. A chance to meet neighbours, share what has been going on, and quietly plan the next thing. Newcomers welcome every time.
Format: informal. Cost: free. Kids: welcome.
Skills & knowledge sharing
Repair cafes, cooking on a budget, first aid, basic legal literacy, budgeting, growing food, digital safety. Members teach members. If you have a skill worth sharing, we will find you an audience.
Coming next: household repair evenings and cooking sessions. See events.
Welcome & wellbeing
A friendly first point of contact for anyone feeling isolated or overwhelmed. Not counselling — we are not qualified for that — but a warm hand-off to trusted local services, and someone to walk alongside you until you land somewhere safe.
If you are in crisis please call NHS 111 or Samaritans on 116 123.
Youth & family
Family-friendly meetups, holiday activities in school breaks, and support for parents who want more of a village around them. Safeguarding-first: DBS-checked leads, published policy, clear reporting route.
Policy: our safeguarding statement.
Community pantry
A small pantry stocked by members, for members. Take what you need, add what you can. Run in partnership with local churches, mosques and community halls that host the shelves.
Where: currently in three towns. Want one where you live? Get in touch.
