What we exist to do.
Charitable objects, as filed with the Charity Commission:
To promote for the public benefit the relief of poverty, financial hardship, distress and social isolation for people living in West Yorkshire and adjacent areas of Northern England, and to advance community development, mutual aid and the education of the public in matters relating to community wellbeing, by such lawful means as the trustees think fit.
Public-benefit statement: The trustees confirm that they have had regard to the Charity Commission's general guidance on public benefit when reviewing the charity's aims and planning activities. All of our programmes — community pantries, meetups, skills workshops, mutual-aid coordination — are free to access, open to any resident of the region, and delivered by unpaid volunteers.

Six trustees serve under the constitution. Trustees are elected for three-year terms and receive no remuneration. All trustees have completed the Charity Commission trustee-declaration and are not disqualified.

What we file and when.
As a registered CIO in England and Wales, we file the following on the statutory calendar:
- Annual Return — to the Charity Commission, within ten months of the financial-year end. Our first return covers the year ending 31 March 2026 and is due by 31 January 2027.
- Trustees' Annual Report and Accounts — filed with the Annual Return. Because our expected annual income for the first financial year is below £250,000, we prepare receipts-and-payments accounts; an independent examination accompanies the accounts.
- Serious Incident Reports — filed to the Charity Commission promptly if any qualifying incident occurs, in line with published guidance.
- ICO Data Protection Fee — paid annually while we hold personal data on volunteers, members and enquirers.
- Register changes — trustee appointments, resignations and constitutional amendments filed to the Charity Commission within twenty-eight days.
